Petnet, maker of smart food dispensers for dogs and cats, announced a partnership with Petnostics, a pet health diagnostics company. The companies claim that this will allow pet owners to make better-informed decisions about their pets food.
This could work. In addition to selling food dispensers, Petnet tries to find the best food for your pet based upon age, breed, weight and activity level. Petnostics uses an at-home urine test to screen dogs and cats for potential health issues. By combining these two services, you should be able to fine-tune your pet’s diet. This would be especially useful if your pet suffers from diabetes or some other food-related ailment.
