The largest pet services tech companies are the pet sitting/dog walking marketplaces. As these are location-focused, most countries have a market leader.
In the US, Wag and Rover are the largest players, each with more than $300 million in venture funding. Rover has earned the nickname “DogBnB” as users can select from hundreds of walkers and sitters, while Wag assigns on-demand workers at the time of service, similar to how Uber’s algorithm assigns drivers.
Swifto, Urban Leash and Walkio are dog-walking services focused on specific US cities.
