Piavita, a Switzerland-based startup, announced that it has secured $5.5 million in funding to develop a medical monitoring system for horses. The wireless device is secured to the horse and allows tracking of vitals such as heart rate, body temperature and activity patterns. This data is transferred to a web-based app that can be monitored by your horse’s vet.
