Sooam Biotech Research Foundation is a South Korean-based company that clones dogs.

As a first step to cloning, the company offers a cell preservation service that allows the option of cloning in the future. During this process a pet’s genetic material is obtained and stored for future use.

Sooam is headed by Hwang Woo-suk, the South Korean scientist who faked parts of his human stem cell research.

Sooam is involved in a joint venture with Boyalife, a Chinese biotech company, to create the world’s largest cloning factory in the northeastern Chinese city of Tianjin.

Sooam is affiliated with another South Korean-based company, H Bion Inc, to market and perform pet cloning services to customers around the world. The two companies operate the consumer-focused websites petagain.dog and notyoubutyou.com.
