Spending on pet food is big business – approximately $30 billion in the US alone. This amount represents approximately 40% of the amount spent every year on pets. Worldwide, pet food sales hit $91 billion in 2018.
Most of the companies below are trying to tap into this market by offering healthier food with convenient delivery options. Two companies, Wild Earth and Bond Pets, are developing pet food that is created in a lab.
